My hero is my son. At 17 he joined the United States Marines. In Boot Camp he was selected to train to be part of the Presidential Security Force. He served in Washington DC and at Camp David for the next 3 years. He then asked to be deployed to Afghanistan. He spent 7 months in a forward location as a Marine Infantryman because he did not want to be a Marine and not do his part in combat. He lost friends and brothers in arms while he was there and still wears a bracelet in their memory. He is only 22 now and served where few can say they have served, the United States Marine Corps. He has guarded the President and fought in a war. Now he is off to college. That is more than most do in a life time. Very proud to call him my son.
